Aaron B. Grosh Mentoring Award

To encourage Youth to mentor to Junior Grange members or youth in the community.

Sapphire: Assist the Junior Grange leader with the Junior Grange meetings and activities - obtain a letter confirming your assistance from the Junior Leader and send it to the National Grange Youth Development Director.

If no Junior Grange exists in your area, look for other clubs to assist, such as 4-H, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, volunteer to read at story hour at your local library, etc.

Emerald: This level can be earned one of four ways:

  1. Assist in the establishment of a Junior Grange Program in your subordinate/community or Pomona Grange.
  2. Serve as a Junior Grange leader at the community or Pomona level.
  3. Lead a Junior Grange service, community or fun activity
  4. If no Junior Grange exists, work as a volunteer with a youth program such as, but not only, 4-H, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

    A minimum of six (6) service hours is required. For certification, obtain a letter from adult leader and submit it to the National Grange Youth Development Director.

Silver: Become a counselor for your State Junior Grange Camp, or counselor at any other camp (4-H, Church, etc.), obtain a letter from the camp director confirming your participation as a counselor which should be sent to the National Grange Youth Development Director.

Ruby: Assist with state session/convention Junior Grange activities, including assist Juniors with the presentation of the Junior Degree, Junior Grange tour, Junior Grange talent show or other State
Junior Department events. If there are no formal Junior Grange activities, be a buddy to a junior member attending the state convention.

Obtain a letter from an official stating your participation from your state junior director and give a copy of it to the National Grange Youth Development Director.

Gold: Assist with national session/convention Junior Grange activities, including presentation of the Junior Degree, leading Junior Grange workshops, or Junior Grange event set up. If not attending National Session, the seal can be earned by leading a workshop at a State or National Junior Grange event.

Any member who completes all five levels in one calendar year will receive a special
Achievement Award lapel pin.
